Miriam Peretz is an internationally acclaimed performing artist and instructor specializing in traditional and mystical from the Silk Road (Persia & Central Asia,) as well as ethno-Contemporary dance. Her style draws inspiration from her diverse dance background in Persian, Central Asian, Flamenco, and Contemporary dance as well as her training in various Martial Art forms. Miriam has been a principle dancer with Wan-Chao Chang Dance Company (California), Ballet Afsaneh (California,) Inbal Ethnic Dance Theater Company (Israel,) as well as a featured soloist in festivals throughout the U.S., South America, Europe, and the Middle East. Miriam is the director of Nava Dance Collective, an international collective of dancers devoted to producing meaningful projects inspired by cross cultural, cross religious themes. For Miriam dance is the most powerful means of expressing deep emotion and spiritual yearning, and therefore the perfect embodiment of prayer.
